Chick-Fil-A Calendar 2011

Making the 2011 Chick-fil-A calendar “The Cows of Reality TV”* was an enormous campaign in this, our third calendar project for this client. Weeks of pre-production preceded a month of shooting on sets and locations in the United States—location shoots on an antique coast guard vessel on the Hudson River on the coldest day of the year, for instance—and horse-backing it through Costa Rica to capture 55,000 total images that were distilled for the final illustrations.

Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey Campaign

In the run-up to formal approval for the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey, the American military workhorse tilt-rotor aircraft, I was charged with creating images that would show the capabilities of the one-of-its-kind hybrid helicopter-jet. The military had experienced some difficulties mastering the innovative craft—designed to function as a helicopter as well as a long-range, high-speed turboprop jet—but it had been redesigned and rebuilt and the push was on to gain Congressional approval for full production.

Blue Man Group is best known for its widely popular theatrical shows and concerts that combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. The blissful party atmosphere created at the live events has become the trademark of a Blue Man Group experience. Creating their branding images was a wonderful collaboration with these amazing artists.

Chick-Fil-A Calendar 2008

The 2008 Chick Fil A calendar, our second for this client, was a rollicking adventure in bovine music making. The challenge was to portray our cow heroes as one hit wonder musicians in a variety of genres. As usual it was a full month of pre production, 4 weeks of shooting on elaborate sets and on location in New York City, then a full two months of post production that was done in house.
