Chick-Fil-A Calendar 2011
Making the 2011 Chick-fil-A calendar “The Cows of Reality TV”* was an enormous campaign in this, our third calendar project for this client. Weeks of pre-production preceded a month of shooting on sets and locations in the United States—location shoots on an antique coast guard vessel on the Hudson River on the coldest day of the year, for instance—and horse-backing it through Costa Rica to capture 55,000 total images that were distilled for the final illustrations.
Rockettes 75th Anniversary Book
Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan is one of America’s most iconic venues. When you add the distinctive high-kicking precision dance routine of the world-famous Rockettes, you have the makings of a dream photographic assignment.
The project was to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Rockettes’ Christmas Spectacular in a photographic book.
The follow up to Becca Fitzpatrick’s wildly successful novel, Hush, Hush is now available at bookstores. It’s Crescendo. Creating the cover imagery that introduces the heroine, Nora, was a wonderful collaboration with Lucy Cummins of Simon and Schuster to arrive at the sequel cover. Making the cover for Hush Hush
When Simon & Schuster approached me to create the cover for the supernatural teen romance novel, Hush, Hush, by Becca Fitzpatrick I was instantly drawn to the project. For years I had been working on a series of winged female nudes in b/w and this assignment seemed a natural progression from that work.
Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey Campaign
In the run-up to formal approval for the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey, the American military workhorse tilt-rotor aircraft, I was charged with creating images that would show the capabilities of the one-of-its-kind hybrid helicopter-jet. The military had experienced some difficulties mastering the innovative craft—designed to function as a helicopter as well as a long-range, high-speed turboprop jet—but it had been redesigned and rebuilt and the push was on to gain Congressional approval for full production.
Blue Man Group Branding Images
Blue Man Group is best known for its widely popular theatrical shows and concerts that combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. The blissful party atmosphere created at the live events has become the trademark of a Blue Man Group experience. Creating their branding images was a wonderful collaboration with these amazing artists.
